Music
Jerry started playing music at the age of 8 when his Dad, a drummer, gave him his first guitar. He grew up in San Francisco listening to the sounds of Tower of Power, Sly Stone and Santana. He's studied with guitarists Bruce Conte of Tower of Power and Dave Creamer of Miles Davis’ group as well as pianist/composers Mark Levine and Michael Smolens.
Jerry's an accomplished electric and acoustic guitarist and brings a variety of influences to his music. He's been a fixture on the Bay Area club scene for over 20 years, playing in a variety of jazz, funk and contemporary soul groups including neo-soul singer Jazmin Sky and brazilian/pop singer Shannon Bryant. Currently he can be seen playing with Prophet Soul, an all original funk, hip hop and groove band.
Comedy
Jerry began entertaining at the age of 12 performing comedy magic shows for birthday parties and appearing on local TV. Since then he's become an in-demand stand up comic, host, emcee and auctioneer. Jerry's humor is clean, smart and imaginative and often features jokes accompanied by music. If you're a fan of comedy and jazz and R&B you'll really enjoy his shows. He performs all over Northern California at comedy clubs, theaters, corporate events, private parties and fundraisers.
